I made contact with Rebekah Scott, an American ex-pat who lives in Moratinos with her ex-pat Irish husband, Patrick. She was kind enough to give me a ride to Sahagún and helped me buy some insoles for my shoes at a pharmacy. If you are ever in trouble on the Meseta, Rebekah is a great resource.
